About

Forward the Love

Honestly, I do not enjoy defining myself or any projects I do. For me, my life is like the projects I do - they are journey of learning and may change. But for the sake of basic understanding, I shall try my best to put them in words. Explanation may be subjected to changes without prior notice. ;)

The main idea about Forward the Love is to infuse several ingredients into one frying pan. The basic ingredients include sharing, giving, charity, culture, travel and music. The 'how' is probably the challenging and interesting part of this project. So while my brain find new methods to cook interesting dishes out of these ingredients for you, sit back and enjoy the randomness.

Oh, the cooking oil used is soju drinking tradition. Explanation below. :)

Soju drinking tradition, and Forward the Love

Some of you may be wondering what Soju has got to do with Love (not talking about love for soju) or the brand, Forward the Love.

Allow me to do a small introduction on Soju drinking. Soju, first of all, is a Korean rice liquor. As told by a Korean friend of mine, you should never fill your own glass; instead you should be pouring for others. The guy next to you will pour your glass; unless of course he's whited out.

I found this tradition very interesting, and infused it to my brand concept. You don't do things for yourself, you do it for others - and in the process you receive something from others.

You purchase items from Forward the Love to be forwarded to others. When you do, I forward you an opportunity to win something. On my side, I am forwarded with your purchase therefore I provide as many gifts as I can to forward to you. I also allocate a percentage of the profit from your purchase to forward them for the less fortunate. The rest of the profit is invested on growing the forwarding - to add more and better gifts for you!

If you find the above explanation a little confusing, just keep following Forward the Love and read more posts written by me. Probably you will soon understand my language. ;p But the basic concept is to give something to others and receive something in return. :)
